The Allotment Group cultivates a large plot on a site in Stanmore. It includes a large fruit cage and small greenhouse.

During the winter months we plan our crops for the next year. Seeds are nurtured at home before planting out in the spring and summer months. Harvests will vary depending on the weather but also due to various slugs and bugs!

There’s plenty of weeding, some digging, grass cutting and watering – a tough job during a hose pipe ban! But we reap the rewards of our hard work and enjoy working together in the outdoors, generally meeting on Wednesday mornings, more frequently in the spring and summer months.
